Hiring Incentives

    We offer the following employment incentives:

     

    Special Education Paraprofessional Educators

    • Special Education paraprofessional educators for special programs receive an extra $1.00 differential, and for behavior support receive an extra $2.00 differential, on each hour worked, not to exceed 8 hours per day. 

     

    All Special Education Teachers

    °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ offers multiple pathways to obtaining the credentials required for special education teaching. See the Special Education Pathways chart here for more information.

    Special Education positions associated with AEA also have incentive options:

     

    • Signing bonus of $5000 for at least two years of service

    or

    • Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for up to four years of service

    or 

    • Special Education Alternative Certificate program, where °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ provides tuition reimbursement for general education teachers working to obtain their special education endorsement

    AEA associated staff in these Related Services positions earn an extra 6% on annual salary:

    • Adapted Physical Education

    Special Education Teachers in Self-Contained Classrooms

    AEA associated staff in these Special Education positions earn an extra 6% on annual salary:

    Speech Language Pathology Assistants and Educational Interpreters

    Speech language pathology assistants and educational interpreters have incentive options:

     

    • A signing bonus of $2500 for at least two years of service

    or

    • Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for up to four years of service
  • Referral Bonuses

     

    Current regular °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ employees can receive a bonus when referring an applicant who is hired as a:

    • bus driver or bus attendant
    • special education paraprofessional educator

    For bus or special education positions, for each new employee hired into a regular position the referring employee will receive a $500 bonus payment if the new employee successfully completes their probationary period. If the new employee remains employed through the end of the school year, the referring employee will receive an additional $500 payment. To receive the referral bonus, the applicant must list the referring employee's name on their application.

  • Employee Incentives for Student Nutrition Referrals

    °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ is offering a referral incentive to all regular °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ employees to help °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ fill critical vacancies identified as hard to fill in the Food Service bargaining unit. For each successful referral, the referring employee will receive a $1000 payment after the referred employee successfully completes their probationary period, and another $1000 payment after the referred employee remains employed in a Food Service position through the end of the school year and completes at least 100 days of work during the school year. These sums are paid as bonuses and are not eligible for PERS credit. To be eligible for the bonus, the referred employee must list the referring employee’s name on their application where requested.
