°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ preschool classrooms strive to provide a safe, positive and nurturing environment in which to foster each child's cognitive (including literacy and math), language, social, emotional, and motor development. We believe that children learn best through meaningful play and in the context of responsive relationships. Teachers intentionally design learning activities to meet the unique needs of each child. The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ Preschool program values the importance of families in early education.

If your child turns 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2024, he/she will be in Kindergarten and is not eligible for preschool

• Developmental Preschool Programs

  Developmental classrooms are designed to support young children with disabilities through an interdisciplinary service model that supports growth across the developmental domains. The special education teacher, teaching assistant, and specialists (OT, PT, SLP, etc.) work together to help children achieve their learning goals. Family members and school staff share information routinely and collaboratively. Curriculum and instruction is differentiated to meet the individual needs of each child. Many developmental classrooms include typically developing peers, called Buddy Bears. These classrooms are located in various elementary schools across the District.

  • Children who are 4 years old on or before September 1st will attend school from 9 am-12pm Mondays and 8 am-12 pm, Tuesday-Friday.
  • Children who are 3 years old after September 1st will attend school 2.5 hours a day, Tuesday - Friday. Children attend the AM session from 8:00-10:00am or the PM session from 12:00-2:30 pm. There are no sessions on Mondays for 3-year-old classrooms.
